Behind this website there is no organisation, or ‘team’. There is only a writer, sitting at a desk in a wild valley in the north of England, usually with a rescue border collie dog or two – or the Cat Formerly Known as the Kitten of the Apocalypse – at her feet. It’s always a pleasure to hear from readers, but please do forgive if I’m limited in the number of personal replies that are possible in an inbox that always looks like an inundation. (And I’m afraid it’s never possible for me to respond to the many requests that I receive for help with research, or finding other resources or giving general advice, which would leave me no writing/ living time at all.)
